After working on the summer maintenance crew at Voyageurs National Park for a number of years, I purchased "Joy's Floral and Pet Shop" on July 1, 2006.

With the help of my family and dedicated friends, I quickly became a business owner, which has been a dream come true! I have truly enjoyed the challenges each day has to offer, whether it's rabbits, roses or rainbow fish ~ we are gaining knowledge daily.

With the summer of 2007, came the opportunity to expand the shop and we doubled our size, redefining the pet and floral areas. Being an independent shop means there is no middleman. We maintain a direct connection with our customers and our hand-picked suppliers, whether pets or flowers. We can personally guarantee the quality of everything we sell. Happy pets and flowers make happy customers ... and at the end of the day there is no greater satisfaction.

One size does NOT fit all and we offer customize products that fit your needs. We like to think quality is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort and skillful execution.

Besides handling top of the line vases, baskets and pottery, many of our containers are found at second-hand shops or yard sales. These gently used items of vintage, art deco and collector pieces are then recycled for a second life and that savings passes on to the customer, creating our signature one-of-a-kind arrangements!

One of the most rewarding experience in our floral business has been working closely with a bride-to-be or a family experiencing the loss of a loved one. We enjoy bringing art and beauty to your lives and hope to be of service to you in the future.
